Summerdale Peanut Company is dedicated to adding value to one of America’s greatest endangered species - the American Family Farm. The forty Baldwin County, Alabama farmers whom we work with consistently supply the American public with the best quality peanuts in the country. Year after year, the peanuts from the fertile Baldwin County soil produce superior flavor along with high grades and impressive yields. This is due to our area receiving some of the highest rainfall in the country - almost 60 inches per year! The rainfall normally comes in the form of pop up showers moving off of the Gulf of Mexico in the late afternoon in the summer months. Our fields are located within 15 miles of the Gulf and are the fortunate beneficiaries of this weather pattern. Therefore, our farmland receives a majority of this precious rainfall during the critical growing months of June, July and August when the peanut plant is developing and maturing and most demanding of water.
